Technology that respects creators.

New tools for creative work come with responsibilities. These are the principles we work by today, written as practices rather than promises about the future.

    Human authorship

    People make the creative decisions and are responsible for them. Our tools assist, and the work belongs to the people who make it.

    Respect for intellectual property

    We use material we have the rights and permissions to use, including the licences of any models and assets we build with. We do not set out to imitate the style of a living artist.

    Transparency

    We are open about where AI-generated content plays a material part in our work, and we follow the disclosure requirements of the platforms we publish on.

    Responsible experimentation

    Before we share a tool or a result, we consider how it could be misused, how reliable it is, and how much control it leaves with the person using it.

    Privacy

    We collect only what we need. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking, and has no forms. The privacy statement has the details.

    Honest limits

    AI tools are not always correct, reliable or suitable for production. We test them against real work, report what they cannot do as well as what they can, and keep a person responsible for the result.
